Hanwag GmbH — Schuhspeicher in Pasenbach Vierkirchen

(English version below) Finger weg von dieser Marke! Habe Probleme mit meinen Hanwag Wanderschuhen (mit denen ich bis dato zufrieden war). Meine Sohlen sind innerhalb von einer Wanderung komplett abgefallen ohne vorherige Anzeichen - die Situation war nicht ungefährlich, da ich noch mitten im Aufstieg war und der Untergrund nass und rutschig. Ich habe meinen Fall am 3. September via E-Mail geschildert und bis heute keine Stellungnahme erhalten!

Have contacted a very unpolite service contact at hanwag directly to have them see my boots and the issue. They refused to hear me out and having me send pictures. Instead the swedish retailergroup, the fenix outdoor group was referred as a point of contact.

After this, its crystal clear that the old hanwag tradition is long gone and customer-care is slim to none. Last pair i will ever buy from this brand.

After having went this way, i was only referred to a €90 "repair" of remaking the entire footbed. Regardless of if the shoes are under warranty or not, €90 repair on a sub €200 pr is a disgrace at best. And at €145 its laughable.

Probably one of the worst customer experiences i had when it comes to sevicing and maintaining the quality of their products. Bought a pair of Tatra GTX that i was pretty happy with. The outer sole fell off pretty quick and was returned for service. The same issue arised again pretty quickly and back to service. I hoped that this would have been the end of it but now, after just a week in the snow same issue.

Don't buy those boots! I have problems with my Hanwag boots (so far I was pretty satisfied). Within one hike, my soles went off completely, without any previous indication - the situation was dangerous, as I was still in the middle of the ascent and the terrain was wet and slippery. I filed my complain on September 3rd via E-Mail and haven't gotten a statement yet!
